Tim began tattooing under Leo Zulueta at Black Wave, Los Angeles in 2000. He was inspired and influenced by Sua Sulu'ape Paulo, and Keone Nunes and also while working as a stone carver with Gordon Toi.
Tim has a strong feeling of connection to the natural world, and a love of Maori and Polynesian art and philosophy. After 5 years in the Paekakariki village it was time for a change, and the studio is now in the back garden of an old cottage in Otaki. It is a relaxed and peaceful setting to help make for a comfortable and memorable experience."
